Blade Doctor is a sharpening service that offers precise and reliable work for its clients. It was established by Mikio Okada and his late Scottish wife Ann Okada in 2012 in Petaluma, CA. Its service area is Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties, and its clients include hairstylists, veterinarians, and groomers.

Its services are usually done in clients’ premises. At hair salons vacant stations are apt to use for work, also examination rooms and surgery rooms are common spaces at veterinary clinics. Occasionally Blade Doctor issues written sharpening reports and recommendations to clients to provide them information on the upkeep of instruments.
